Early PPM Insights (October 2005)
Arbitron's release of data from the first three months of the Houston PPM trial provided Coleman Insights with the opportunity to review the impact of the PPM approach to ratings in a second market (the first being Philadelphia in 2002 and 2003). Our analysis found that the ratings for many stations in Houston varied significantly between the PPM and Diary methodologies. How big were these differences? Were some formats impacted more than others? Our report—the first in what we anticipate to be a series of analyses of PPM data—answers these and other questions.
