Here’s the rundown of our third annual benchmark study of contemporary music tastes, Contemporary Music SuperStudy 3.
Contemporary Music SuperStudy 3 tracked contemporary music tastes across the United States and Canada to learn how they evolve. The third edition is particularly unique as it measured the most consumed songs of 2020, so we can see how tastes were impacted during a pandemic year.
The test list was generated by compiling the most consumed songs from the past year by streaming, sales and radio airplay as measured by MRC Data. We tested those songs with 1,000 people ages 12-54 across the United States and Canada utilizing Coleman Insights’ FACT360 Strategic Music Test platform.
